Working Ranch & Trailrides

These ranches have cattle, but also go on trailrides with their guests.

Big River Horse Ranch * ... Sabine and Joe from Germany offer on their working horse ranch on Canada riding lessons, trail rides and cattle work (riding with their neighbours). If you can ride you are welcome to explore the ranch on your own.

The Stagecoach Trails Guest Ranch, Arizona *** is a working & guest ranch located in Northwest Arizona. It offers a variety of activities besides horseback riding available throughout your stay. Stagecoach Trails Guest Ranch is located just off of Historical Route 66! This means there are several Route 66 attractions close to the ranch such as Kingman, AZ (45 minutes), the famous ghost town of Oatman (1 hour), and Chloride (1 hour), along with the world famous Grand Canyon (3 hours)!

The Hassayampa River Working Ranch * is a little Working Cattle Ranch in Arizona. It's situated nearby the western town Wickenburg, northwest of Phoenix. The Ranch is in the mountains, you can't go there without a 4wheeler. That's why Roy and Carrol meet their guests at Wickenburg. If you arrive there in the evening it's better to stay a night in town. There are a lot of things to see. And if you go to the ranch in the dark you would miss an incredible landscape. At the ranch you live in a rustic bunkhouse, you are welcome to help the ranch people to take care of the cattle and horses, the rides are great, you bring salt to the cattle, you check fences and gates, drive cattle. If there isn't anything to do (to ride) Roy and Carrol take you on trailrides. There are many old mones in the area. With only a few guests at the ranch it's a really special vacation.
